finally received her today. i think she’s super cute! the only issue i had with her is she had a small black streak on the front of her hair. but honestly it looks like shading so it doesn’t bother me. other than that she’s perfect.

I was one of the lucky people, who was able to order this version of Taiga from Hobby Search (really sorry for guys who wasn't able to do so as well! Hope you will be able to get her too next time!). Literally woke up at 6AM to check the bargain on my tablet while I was still in bed. The moment I saw her for 18900 yen I ran to my PC to log into my account and check how much the shipping will cost. There was Surface Parcel availible for my country for 3900 yen and compared to 10000+ yen delivery for my another 1/4 figure I ordered from Mandarake last year (that, btw, also cost 25000 yen and was used, though looking totally brand new), imo it was a total bargain, so I ordered the figure right away. I was pretty nervous because there was a note at the delivery section about some big figures not suitable for some shipping options, but apparently everything is fine and now it's "preparing for shipment". I had an experience with Surface Parcels before, so I assume I won't see her until June or even July/August, but for the sake of Taiga and for "only" 170$ I am ready to wait as much as I need to! Also I will probably finally rewatch Toradora too when she will arrive to celebrate her arrival (I think almost 10 years has passed since I watched this masterpiece last time).
Praying to all the gods I know that there won't be too many/drastic QC issues too after reading some comments. I thought for a moment about why the price dropped that low when I was ordering, but hoped I will be lucky till the end. And even if not - no matter, I still will love my Palmtop Tiger as much as I can!Don't sweat the quality issues. They sold over 1300 of these to MFC users, there are bound to be some with issues. My Taiga came out perfect. I'm almost done rewatching Toradora right now--and you are right it IS a masterpiece. One of my favorites.
